As part of the NSW Government's Climate and Energy Action Plan grants and schemes initiative, Melinda was commissioned to highlight soil carbon sequestration by telling the story of Wilmot Cattle Co. in NSW. The project involved in-depth interviews with owner Alasdair MacLeod and General Manager Stuart Austin to explore how holistic grazing practices accelerate soil carbon storage while improving profitability. The article aimed to encourage other NSW graziers to adopt practices that generate carbon credit income.
